Bimbingan Klasikal Kepada Anak-Anak Untuk Mencintai Lingkungan Melalui Penanaman Pohon di Panti Asuhan Bumi Keselamatan Margarita (BKM)

Abstract

Concern and love for the environment has become a necessity to be instilled in children as the next generation of the nation. Considering that the current environmental crisis has become a serious and real threat to human life. The Faculty of Education, Sari Mutiara Indonesia University, is taking part in efforts to create care and love for the environment through community service activities in the form of classical guidance related to a love for the environment. This community service activity was carried out at the Bumi Keselamatan Margarita Orphanage, Silau Mahala, Block Songo, Siantar District, Simalungun Regency. This activity involved all the children, administrators at the orphanage and the PKM team from Sari Mutiara Indonesia University totaling 25 people. The classical guidance was held on November 5, 2023 and continued with tree planting on November 6, 2023. This classical guidance activity was enthusiastically attended by the children and administrators at the orphanage, so that the children know the impacts of environmental damage that can occur as a result of  no concern for the environment
