WHO states that adolescents are a group of people who are 10–19 years old and unmarried. Riskesdas 2007 stated that in Indonesia, the age of adolescence is very large where the percentage shows 27% of the total population of Indonesia. According to the 2010 Indonesian population census, it shows that this age group is 30 percent of the population in Indonesia. The teenage population increased from 35 million in 1980 to more than 42.4 million in 2010. Hypertension that is not managed properly will continue in other cardio and vascular diseases that have an impact on death. It requires the control of hypertension through active community participation or empowerment of health cadres. This empowerment is carried out in the Community-Sourced Health Efforts (UKBM) of the Parikesit Youth Posyandu. This community service activity aims to train adolescent cadres to have knowledge and skills about hypertension. This empowerment activity is carried out by providing education about hypertension to adolescent cadres or known as parikesit, training cadres using digital spigmometers to measure blood pressure, and teaching how to fill out hypertension report cards. The method used in this community service consists of interactive discussions and demonstrations. This community service will be carried out in November 2022 The place of this community service activity is at the Posyandu Terompet Pintusona Village, Pangururan district. Based on the results of the pre-survey, it turns out that the Youth Posyandu in Pintusona Village, Pangururan district, is not running as it should at this time, there are many teenagers who can get information about hypertension either through social media, such as Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Whatsapp, Twitter, line or training from village midwives or the local health office.
